The Old Doctor's House is a guesthouse located in Field, British Columbia within Yoho National Park. Built in 1927, our house was once the residence of the mining physican Dr. Cheeseman. Lead and Zinc extraction began in the mountains around Field in 1888 and during peak production the surrounding mines employed 200 workers collectively. In the 1950's, mining ceased in Yoho National Park and the doctor moved on.

Our guest suite was established in 2005, and is open year round. Centrally located, the town of Field is a great place to stay while exploring the surrounding national parks. If you love outdoor adventure, wildlife viewing, mountain photography and breathtaking scenery then Field is the place to be.
