Location

The Old Doctors House is literally on the edge of the city limits of Brevard North Carolina.

It's about a two miles to the quaint downtown area that has many eateries, shops, and entertainment.  You must visit O.P. Taylor's Toy Store, and dine at the trendy Square Root restaurant.

If you are into beer, Brevard Brewery, Ecusta Brewery, UpCountry, Burning Blush, Mills River Brewing and Oskar Blues are all within minutes.

Bold Rock Cider is a must see--I mean, drink, as well.  All have great atmosphere, great bar food, and entertainment.

The entrance to the Pisgah Forest is about 5 miles away.  Make sure you visit Looking Glass Falls, and Sliding Rock on your way up to the Blue Ridge Parkway to get to Asheville--about 30 minutes away. 

Transylvania county is know for hiking, mountain biking, and waterfalls.  The Brevard visitors center has helpful people and a lot of information about activities, festivals, entertainment, and other things to do.
